about

'Childers Shining' - composed by Sarah Hopkins.
Visionary music for choir, orchestra, didgeridoo, Choirchimes & the celestial sounding Harmonic Whirlies.

"An inspiring, uplifting and deeply moving CD". This music was commissioned by the Queensland Biennial Festival of Music, 2003.

'Childers Sining' includes nine songs for choir & orchestra, plus two previously composed pieces for Harmonic Whirlies & Choirchimes. (Tracks 1 & 9).

It is dedicated to World Peace. These songs incorporate many cultural & world music influences including Aboriginal, Native American, African, Celtic, Islander & the music of nature. All the different chants, melodies & 'soul songs' within these pieces literally "sang through' Sarah in the process of creating them.
